Which length do I need?
Take an old leadrope (without the snap). Put it around your horses neck and see how it looks like.
I like it to be on the mane and hanging down BELOW the bottom of the neck.
Ride with this and feel if you like the length.
It is important that the neckrope is long enough!
You should be able to use the neckrope toghter with your reins without the neckrope putting constant pressure on the horses neck!
When you found a good length - measure the rope and thats YOUR HORSES LENGTH.
In winter with a lot of fur you might want it longer. For some exercises shorter.
I recommand that the neckrope has the size:
YOUR HORSES LENGTHÂ for riding and is adjustable
plus 20 cm - for winter or special exercisses and
minus 20 cm to suit another horse or special exercises.
You can adjust the neckrope easily.
The material
Biothane BETA (black neckrope) and Biothane EDGEGUARD (red reflective) are durable, vegan and carefree.
Easy to fix if the metal details break and easy to cut if too long.
WARNING: There are 2 major dangers with such a neckrope
1 - it breaks and you cannot steer your horse as planned
2 - it doesn't break when you or your horse get caught in it and someone can get hurt
